Scholarships

A one-time, nonrenewable $500.00 scholarship will be awarded to (2) deserving students based on availability of donated funds (no tax dollars) by the Wood County Township Association Scholarship Committee.

Criteria:

  • Applicant must be a senior eligible for graduation and a resident of Wood County.
  • Applicant must plan to attend an accredited college or university to complete a two or four-year program.
  • Applicant must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.

Requirements:

Complete application and 350-500 word essay and attach official high school transcript and two letters of recommendation from non-family member in sealed envelopes.

If already accepted to an accredited college or university, attach a copy of the letter of acceptance or other documentation to the application.

Deadline: April 19th (must be received by that date)

Recipient will be notified the first week in May. Scholarship money shall be paid directly to the student’s college or university for tuition fees and other education expenses.
